Purpose of Check Valve

Postby Koolio » Wed Feb 04, 2015 4:54 pm

Why do we have the check valve and how could we identify if it's functional anymore or not?

Hello Koolio,

Check Valve is a one-way valve at the point where the air enters the tank and it keeps the tank pressure from backing up to the pump. In case of check valve failure, your motor can get damaged. Because of the building pressure, your motor fails to start and produces a humming sound while with every try you damage the motor windings.

Good day.
