I have a porter cable 392 orbital sander. I have already had it in once for repair. It is now down yet again and not under warranty. Is there a part that is the usual culprit for this problem. When I purchased it the description they gave mentioned how it was going to have longer life and better performance. I have a Dewalt and Porter Cable regular orbital sander easily 4 to 5 years old with no problems as yet. I feel like they duped me with their description. I do not use it on a daily basis and take good care of my tools. If you can narrow it down, I sure would appreciate some advice other than throw it away which I am considering very strongly. They wanted 69.99 to repair it with the length of service I was getting I could not justify spending that much.
